The preparation Ovosan gives a great hope in a fight against oncological diseases. It contains natural substances - the blend of biologically active phospholipids and in particular the ether phospholipid PNAE. Its invention has been a result of the decade lasting scientific research of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences (CSAV). The research carried out by the team of RNDr. Jindřich Kára, DrSc. Succeeded in isolation of a unique substance with the outstanding antitumorous effect from embryonic tissue.
Laboratory tests confirmed that the ether phospholipid PNAE impairs cell membranes of tumoral cells and thus contributes to their complete decay and subsequent gradual destruction of tumoral tissue. Healthy cells contain functional enzyme splitting ether phospholipid PNAE. The fragments are subsequently used to build cell membranes. This enzyme is absent in the tumoral cells and they therefore cannot split PNAE, which is accumulating in the cell. Higher PNAE concentrations in the cell result in its destruction. This is the reason why biologically active phospholipids assist in destruction of tumour cells and in nourishing of healthy cells.
The scientist and immunologist MVDr. Martin Faldyna, PhD of the Research Institute of Veterinary Medicine Brno has presented conclusions of studies documenting favourable effect of bioactive phospholipids on the speed of regeneration of the immune system cells at healthy subjects. He presented the results at the workshop of medical professionals and physicians on the experience with application of OVOSAN as a supportive pharmaceutical in treatment of oncology patients in 2008.
